Fixed Boat Blind Cover Material Ideas????

Folks,

Have built the subframe for a fixed boat blind on an 1860 mod-v hull. Subframe is made out of aluminum angle. Looking for ideas on what light weight material could be used to skin it over. Thinking about .040 aluminum sheeting, or perhaps lauan plywood that has been sealed with Thompsons or something like that. Want to paint to match boat. Anyone got any feed back on these ideas, and/or other ideas. Sure would appreciate it.

Maybe a truck tarp off an eighteen wheeler. Their super strong and are easily formed over your fixed frame with self tapping screws and fender warshers. Then put burlap over that. Its lightweight and gives good cover from the elements. You won't be able to paint but a little brushing goes a long way. One thing to worry about is if any of the black tarp is exposed and gets wet it tends to shine. But keep it covered and you'll have no problems. Good Luck!!
